Journaling Is Therapeutic

Journaling is a very therapeutic way to release any unprocessed emotions. It’s very powerful to put pen to paper and just empty the mind of all thoughts, emotions, worries and stresses you may have. A great to time to journal is at the same time every day or week and it’s nice to be in an environment where it’s quiet and peaceful so you can connect with your most inner thoughts and get your creativity flowing.

I find the beach on a quiet morning or afternoon an ideal place to journal especially with the healing salt water and the sound of the ocean in the background, but with that being said anywhere is good as long as you feel comfortable to just write.

It can certainly feel like a weight has been lifted off the shoulders if you are one of those people who can get in your own head and worry or overthink things which most of us can do at times and if that is the case another great time to journal is at night time just before you go to bed. Journalling at night for some people will help them sleep better because they have emptied their minds of all the stresses and worries of the day.

Journaling is a great self awareness practice that you can use for your self growth and development and if you have never journaled before here are some ideas to get you to started:

How am I feeling at the moment?
What have I learned today?
What am I grateful for in my life right now?
What is one thing I am feeling worried about?
What is one action I can take to reduce or eliminate that worry?

So make time each day or week to start journaling and get to know yourself on a deeper level, this is another form of inner work which can only lead to a happier and healthier you.

At I Am Free And Well we offer many detox programs and retreats to help you get to know yourself better and do that inner work that helps one to grow, evolve and better themselves. For more information check out our website https://iamfreeandwell.com
